"In the city of my birth, I had a dream..."
And sometimes it's easy to get things fixed.

Puppy
Opened my door this afternoon after a brief nap--I'm currently fighting off a cold--and caught the name plate painter working away at the plaque inside the doorway. I persuaded him to fix the typo above the door to my modest living space, so it's now correct!

I love the juxtaposition of the hand-painted plaque with the standard-operational fire safety paraphernalia.

Oh, by the way, apologies to anyone who's expecting to see lots of pictures of the famous Cambridge sights here. Of course it's beautiful, but there are a million and one places to go online if its grand architecture is your speed. I'm interested in the "backside" of things--those spaces integral to the lives of the students that the average tourist would never see.

That was quick. "Backside" of things are cool ^^

The quickness was *only* because I caught him outside. It was pure chance. Painting on each name probably takes him, like, fifteen seconds, max.

Haha, welcome to England! I'm not all that familiar with Cambridge since I've only visited once, but if you have any general questions about life (stuff like slang words for things or food you've seen but aren't sure what it is and don't want to try it without knowing what you're getting), I'll try to answer them! ^_^

That makes sense to me.

I've got lots of Cambridge pictures from my time there anyway, it was one of my more successful photo periods (aided by the beauty of the place, of course), but I'd love to see a picture of the outside of your lodgings from the street, because maybe I passed by this place myself and could then imagine where you walked about with your things when you talk about it.

Or is this request too stalkery? You decide ^^
