Did you enjoy my packing skillz and the lack of boxes?

It seriously looked like more trouble than it was worth. ^^;; If it were me, I would've just used a box.

No box. And was pretty easy to do. :) Just like a present.

There were 21 no? My counting is good?

Also, um. Comic Party? If you ever see it, give it a wide berth. Ick. One day, I might have to send you as a happy birthday to ME! present.

Are you going to be on AIM later tonight?

I didn't check. But I took a picture. Count yourself. ^_~

Are you going to be on AIM later tonight?

Something you need to talk about?

I did count before I sent them but I be neurotic. :) I would tell you to enjoy them but considering my own enjoyment, not sure how much you will. Though, I really, really want your opinion.

And mm hmmm. Work related issue.

What series are they? *curious*
8th-Apr-2008 06:27 pm (UTC)
You can't read the spines? :P
8th-Apr-2008 07:32 pm (UTC)
Nope. Nearly Blind Girl here^^
8th-Apr-2008 07:39 pm (UTC)
Ask Laura if you're really dying to know. I've got a ton of more important stuff to do this week, and she has a list. ^^;;;
8th-Apr-2008 07:47 pm (UTC)
Gravitation volumes 1 to 10, Ai Yori Aoshi volumes 1 to 5, Aoi House in Love! 1, Azumanga Daioh 1, Bleach 1, Hana-Kimi 1, Love*Com 1, Peach Girl, Sae's Story 1, Get Backers 1, Nana 6, School Rumble 1, Welcome to the NHK 1, Fall in Love Like a Comic 1 and Fall in Love Like a Comic 2.

I think that is the list. There could be one or two more but don't think so. :)
8th-Apr-2008 07:50 pm (UTC)
Thanks. That's a rather eclectic group of manga.
8th-Apr-2008 07:53 pm (UTC)
It was kind of "HAPPY BIRTHDAY CASEY! LET ME CLEAN OUT MY BOOKCASE FOR YOU!" Or, the manga I tried and didn't want to hang on to. (I kept Alive, Case Closed, Genshiken, Punch, DramaCon, Skip Beat.)

I'm thinking you're probably the kind of manga reader who can read anything and everything^_^
8th-Apr-2008 08:00 pm (UTC)
God, no. Also. No. Followed by NO. I tend to like fluffy happy Shojo stuff. And mystery stuff and music stuff. Disliked Bleach, Get Backers, Welcome to the NHK, Hana-Kimi, Love*Com, Azumanga Daioh, Ai Yori Aoshi after a while and Gravitation after a while.

But I tried to read them because I thought exposure to other stuff would be good and help expand my understanding of anime and anime culture. (So I could do a better job with Fan History.) If it involves vampires, gender swapping, magic, vampires, fantasy, I'm not likely to read it even for the reason of expanding my horizons.

So manga that has some ties/similarities to RL? Although I have a hard tme believing any female fan can stomach Ai Yori Aoshi, no offense meant of course.

Casey got me started by reading Genshiken. :) It was educational to pick things up, put some terms used in manga into context, helped me better understand anime fandom and I looked less stupid the last time I went to an anime convention. :)

And Ai Yori Aoshi was... interesting enough for me to read more of it. It just got to the point where it was dragging, yawn, don't care.

What I don't get is how people like Bleach. :(

I think of Bleach or Grayman as one of those never-ending serial manga. They just go on and on until they lose readers^_^ Although I did buy the last vol of GetBackers to see how it ended and the ending was typical for that kind of manga.
