Barnes & Noble might buy Borders. Am I the only one deeply disturbed by this possibility? I mean, let's face it. The customer is never well-served when a megastore manages to acquire its chief rival.

Biologist P.Z. Myers gets expelled from a showing of the new Creationist film Expelled...but the anti-atheist taskforce misses biologist Richard Dawkins, the Face of Atheism Himself and author of The God Delusion. It ain't often that religious fundamentalists bring a genuine smile to my face.

Arthur C. Clarke has passed away. Well, we knew it had to happen sometime soon, given his august age. Nevertheless, he will be missed. Fortunately, his considerable legacy to science and science fiction lives on.

B&N buying Borders worries me too. I like Borders much more then I do B&N.

B&N cannot buy out Borders. I will cry.
