WHICH WAY IS SHE SPINNING?
12th-Oct-2007 11:05 am
Puppy
From ariss_tenoh:

According to The Courier-Mail, if she's spinning clockwise, you're right-brained. If she's spinning counter-clockwise, you're left-brained.

I see her spinning clockwise...EXCEPT when I look at the image out of the corner of my right eye. Which is amusing, since most people would say that I'm more of a "left-brained" person. I'm a "right-brained" person in stealth mode!!!

^^;;

Actually, I'm also left handed, which may explain a lot. I don't believe in the whole "left-brained" vs. "right-brained" thing anyway. It's not well-supported by actual experimental data, and the real experts agree that it's a gross simplification. :P

So, what do YOU see? ^_~

Haha, I definitely see her spinning counter-clockwise...which I guess fits with my left-brained stereotypes XD.

I must be right-brained. Is this a good thing? Should I be worried?

I don't put much stock in it; it's just a lot of fun when you realize that other people see the same image differently.

Are you left-handed?

Clockwise, unless I really concentrate and then I can get her to start turning the other way ^_^

yeah...i see it spinning clockwise but then when i look to the upper right or left i see the it counter clockwise!

i don't put much stock into what i "see" look how easy it is to trick the eyes with optical illusion...

Supposedly, this image is actually two contradictory images laid on top of each other, and either one or the other wins out in each person's brain.

My sleep-deprived self found this amusing.

I see clockwise. I can't figure out how some one could see counter clockwise. :(

Have you tried looking at it out of the corners of your eyes?

It kinda freaks me out that anyone could see it spinning clockwise because I *only* see it counter clockwise. Ever.

After spending a minute or so concentrating on her right foot, I was able to "switch" it in my head. Maybe try that? Feels like those Magic Eye thingies...

That is SO weird- I see clockwise unless I slightly turn my head then she goes the other way.

That's a trip. When I looked at it, she was going clockwise. I couldn't make myself see her otherwise. When I looked again, she was going the other way and again, I couldn't make myself see her otherwise. This is one of those things I could kill time with for hours.

What if it looks different each time you look at it? I'm a confused-brain person - which, really, explains so much.

I think that means the hemispheres of your brain are in a constant brutal battle for dominance..
15th-Oct-2007 02:11 am (UTC)
...I see both

At first I thought she was spinning clockwise. Then she was spinning counter-clockwise after I started reading your explanation. And I was like o_O;;; and then she started spinning clockwise again, briefly...

Apparently, I'm ambidexter-brained =P
