If you have any recommendations for me on the basis of this list, by all means drop me a line! My New Year's Resolution is to read at least 200 books, and I'm always looking for suggestions.

YEARLY TOTAL (to date): 211

Though it was during this month that I completed my New Year's resolution of two hundred books, June's final reading list tally is, hands down, the most uninspired and least pleasurable thus far. Most of it seems lifted from the pulp fiction racks or from bestseller lists, and the bulk of it is children's literature. Still, I'm glad to have taken the time necessary to read A Series of Unfortunate Events; it's a pleasure to see that books which are so popular can still be so surprisingly intelligent. In any case, I will be striving to achieve a more serious tone for my booklist next month.

You mean one book per day not month. :)

I have only read the first Lemony Snicket book myself.

I thought I read a lot, but you beat me hands down.
I average 10 - 20 books a month.

Ooooh, Wicked! Loved that. I just read his Mirror Mirror and I was not nearly as impressed.

I don't actually read a single book every day. Some days I read very little, and other days I read more, but it seems to be breaking down into an average of a book every day each month.

Did you like Wicked? I read it and was pretty unimpressed. I read it after all that hype so maybe I just expected more out of it.

I thought it was okay, and, given the way it's stayed and stayed and stayed on the bestseller list, better than I would've expected. More than anything else, I was impressed by how timely it was--now moreso than when it was published.

wow. how do you manage to read so many books? I am amazed. Do you read more than one at a time? I would consider myself always reading and I have only read twelve books so far this year.... not including the books and plays we have studied in class.

Well, in general, I only read one book at a time. If I start one and later put it down, when I pick it back up again, I usually start over (bad memory). I also read instead of watching TV.
