"In the city of my birth, I had a dream..."
The Sunday morning Flea Market Run(tm)...

Was, for my mother, who did not buy a single thing, singularly disappointing. I, on the other hand, sifted through minor mountains of romance novels and mysteries to find two reading copies of two books that I thought were at least halfway worthwhile:

The Decameron by Giovanni Boccaccio (Norton Critical Edition)
2010: Odyssey Two by Arthur C. Clarke (mass market paperback)

Clarke is a writer I've always liked but I haven't read any of the 2001 sequels.

Life's too short for sequels, right? :P
12th-Jun-2006 12:56 am (UTC)
Just so long as there's no sequel for my life, I don't think I could take that ^^;;;

HE said it, not me. ^^;

I know, I'm just saying ^_^;;

Are we assuming that you would remember the prequel? :P
12th-Jun-2006 02:43 pm (UTC)
So you're saying this could be the sequel, or one of the sequels??

No evidence, me no believe. On the other hand, if you do believe in reincarnation, it stands to reason that you don't remember (much) of previous incarnations. :P

If you don't remember, it didn't happen. Right? :P

Unless you do one of them past life regressions, I seen it on the TV!! ^_~

Like John Edwards? Yeah, whatEVER. If I were that fast-talking, I could do that, too.

Fast talking and throw out broad generalities:

It’s a man, an older man....

My father!!

Yes.. It’s your father coming through....

>_< .......

There are a lot of people out there who deserve to have Agent Mulder's credo tattooed on their foreheads: I Want To Believe. *sighs*

And the more fantastic, the more blindly people are willing to believe ^^;;;

Are your parents into the latest cultural gurus? My parents have avidly followed John Edwards, Dr. Phil and the like EXACTLY when they're at the height of their popularity. >_< And I hate 'em all...
12th-Jun-2006 06:21 pm (UTC)
Nah, my parents pretty much don’t know anything of popular culture after 1960 ^_^;;;
