He has staff to cut and paste.. They probably figured he better stick with a sentence he's already demonstrated he can manage ^_~

Heh. Do you suppose they thought no one would notice?

Bush is an embarrassment all by his lonesome. He doesn't need lazy speechwriters to help him out any. (Not to mention that Goss apparently WASN'T "the right man"...which inspires much confidence in such an opinion. :P )

Well hey, he always assumes that no remembers him saying "Stay the course!" before >_< I think we have to adjust the constitution, add a requirement that the president must have passed 8th grade English.......

Well, Goss was the right man for the moment, it's the big qualifier in both statements ^_~

C'mon, audio and video recording have been around for a long time! Nothing important people say in public disappears--Bush's speechwriters, if not Bush himself, should know that. :P

Well, Goss was the right man for the moment, it's the big qualifier in both statements ^_~

*snorts* If "moment" equals the first 12 seconds, maybe. Goss was hounded pretty much from the beginning, if I recall.

But Bush knows Fox News would never point out stuff like that, and that's the only "news" program his minions watch >_<

And yes, "the moment" only covers the swearing in ceremony photo op time ^_^

I dunno...I heard about this from Comedy Central. Not exactly a great news source. ^^;;;

And yes, "the moment" only covers the swearing in ceremony photo op time ^_^

Or maybe only the "moment" of that press conference. ("Seemed like a good idea at the time...")

Comedy Central is at least as accurate as any other news outlet ^_^;;;

And more entertaining. ^_~ I've become a fan of Stephen Colbert after his speech at the press dinner. ^^;

Hee, they do have a way of cutting through all the official spin that the "real" news commentators rarely do ^_^;

I watch choice clips online. Too bad you're still on dialup; I could link you to the best ones. ^^;;;

*sighs*

It would probably take all night to download >_< I went to my ISP website a couple days ago to see how much DSL costs now. Strangely, there's no info about it there anymore.. Maybe declaring bankruptcy is starting to impact services ^^;;;

did you see when jon stewart actually had to issue a statement because some country, i *think* it was switzerland, thought the daily show was a serious news show? ahaha, it was hilarious.

Hee, I liked when they did a report from Denmark, to show Denmark as an evil state bent on dominating the world.. It included the entire Danish military marching through the streets in a show of force, about twelve guys ^__^ Now that could be taken the wrong way by someone over there not familiar with Stewart!

hahah. So boring and inarticulate, it's almost endearing. I guess those aren't desirable qualities in a president, though.

Whenever I see him give speeches, I feel embarrassed for my country.
