"In the city of my birth, I had a dream..."
Quote of the Day (Just because I laughed out loud. ^_^)
14th-Jan-2006 02:35 am
"You can write my paper for me. And if I get a good grade, you can give me a blow job." He winked.
"Wait a minute," I said.
- David Leavitt, "The Term Paper Artist"
14th-Jan-2006 11:49 am (UTC)
Wouldn't that make two favors? ^_^
14th-Jan-2006 01:11 pm (UTC)
How you figure? ^_^;
14th-Jan-2006 01:29 pm (UTC)
Well, shouldn't it be more like, "You can write my paper for me. And if I get a good grade, I'll give you a blow job." Or, something to that effect ^^;;;
14th-Jan-2006 01:36 pm (UTC)
*smirks* Some people LIKE giving blowjobs, I guess--and that would include the author (or at least the alternate universe version of himself that he wrote for this story).
14th-Jan-2006 01:47 pm (UTC)
Well I didn't assume it's something the other person wouldn't like, it just seems like the receiver would be getting a little more enjoyment out of it ^_^
14th-Jan-2006 01:49 pm (UTC)
So, you mean that getting a blowjob from a gay guy, for the "normal, red-blooded, heterosexual male," isn't a sacrifice of some sort? :P
14th-Jan-2006 01:51 pm (UTC)

Well you never said he wasn't gay!! ^_^;
14th-Jan-2006 01:52 pm (UTC)
*laughs* I thought that was obvious from the context! The "author" ends up getting to give blowjobs for writing papers from a half-dozen or so college boys.
14th-Jan-2006 02:11 pm (UTC)
Well I wasn't sure if the term paper writer was male or female.. But with all the gay novels, I assumed that if they were both male they would both be gay..

But hey, just close your eyes and you'll never know the difference ^_~
14th-Jan-2006 02:15 pm (UTC)
I thought it was two gay guys, and two favors, too!
Well, I'm predisposed that way. ;)
14th-Jan-2006 02:21 pm (UTC)
Oh good, at least I'm not the only to read it that way! ^_^
14th-Jan-2006 05:15 pm (UTC)
It's actually really funny. The story is psuedo-autobiographical, and the "term paper artist" is the author of the short story himself. ^_^;
14th-Jan-2006 05:27 pm (UTC)
I wonder how many of his "clients" have read the story ^__^
14th-Jan-2006 05:37 pm (UTC)
It's fiction. Not true. Instead of writing his real life as fiction, he's writing a fictionalized version of his "real life." Like an alternate universe version of himself, as I said before. ^_^
14th-Jan-2006 07:19 pm (UTC)
Oh that's no fun, it should be a true story ^_~
14th-Jan-2006 11:47 pm (UTC)
I actually loved how Leavitt could be so self-deprecating about his own persona. It was hilarious.

14th-Jan-2006 01:24 pm (UTC)
Am I offending your sensibilities? XD
14th-Jan-2006 02:45 pm (UTC)
nope, you smiling
14th-Jan-2006 05:15 pm (UTC)
Well, just as long as you're smiling too. ^_~
15th-Jan-2006 01:25 am (UTC)
outside of abuse at work I am!
15th-Jan-2006 02:20 am (UTC)
Not too much abuse, I hope... T_T
15th-Jan-2006 02:21 am (UTC)
see my latest post. x_x

*sighs* Customers are like misbehaved children. They have to be responsible during the rest of their lives, so they find release acting like immature brats in stores. You're just there to play indulgent parent. :P
15th-Jan-2006 02:32 am (UTC)
does that mean I can spank them too? :P
15th-Jan-2006 02:34 am (UTC)
*laughs* Parenting experts seem to be advocating a no-spanking approach these days...too bad. :P
