More Scientific

You have:
77% SCIENTIFIC INTUITION and
62% EMOTIONAL INTUITION

The graph on the right represents your place in Intuition 2-Space. As you can see, you scored above average on emotional intuition and well above average on scientific intuition.Your scientific intuition is stronger than your emotional intuition.

Your Emotional Intuition score is a measure of how well you understand people, especially their unspoken needs and sympathies. A high score score usually indicates social grace and persuasiveness. A low score usually means you're good at Quake.

Your Scientific Intuition score tells you how in tune you are with the world around you; how well you understand your physical and intellectual environment. People with high scores here are apt to succeed in business and, of course, the sciences.

My test tracked 2 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 99% on Scientific

free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 20% on Interpersonal
Link: The 2-Variable Intuition Test written by jason_bateman on Ok Cupid

I can't help but notice how 80% of people my age scored higher on Interpersonal questions--even though I score "above average" on this quiz. I knew it! *points to self* An emotional cripple right here in front of you!

So, which do you think is more inportant? Emotional intelligence or just plain intelligence? I, using the latter, have come to believe that the more valuable is actually the former. Highly empathic people make me want to rip my hair out at times, but I can't help noticing that it is they who get the best of everything...

I'm more emotionally intelligent, and I prefer that, because I can lie my way out of any situation. XD I get what I need from absolute strangers, people are more willing to do be favors because I'm kinder around them, etc. I have basic book smarts.. but the problem is, I learn fast, and forget quickly. >_>

*laughs* I prefer not to get myself into situations that I need to lie my way out of! ^_~ I value myself, my mind, more than anything else, including other people, and that has only intensified over the years when I realized how hypocritical other people are. For example, I get treated very well by strangers just because they find me "pretty" these days...and it doesn't really matter whether I'm warm or cold to them. I can also talk logical circles around other people, but they're often to stupid to realize how effectively I'm refuting their own arguments. ^^;;

Yeah, I'm gonna be one of those exccentric professors one of these days...

Hey, but I'll be the one using my wits and street smarts to steal peoples' identities to purchase luxurious fur coats.

Wait.. :(

*wants to trade*

I thought it was the misanthropic geeks who do identity theft and rack up five-figure bills on other peoples' credit cards. ^_~ Or maybe not. Con-artists need lots of charm and empathy to get by. Living a life of crime might not be so bad--provided you never get caught! XD

At any rate, you'll be richer than I will be as an absentminded professor.

Damnit, stop inspiring me to pursue the rogue lifestyle. :P

Nah. Art seems to be your vocation, anyway. ^_~

An updated version of Gray's Anatomy, eh? Goes well with your default icon. ^_~

Being empathetic is overrated, trust me.
I think they are both equally important. Although with either one, you can somehow get by. However, emotional intelligence can many times keep us from making social mistakes that could cause our regular intelligence to seem moot.

I hear that people with high emotional intelligence make more money than people with high intelligence--for what that's worth. Money isn't everything, but if you have more of it than the rest of the people around you, you'll be happier than they.
24th-Aug-2005 01:58 am (UTC)
In a way I guess part of that is true. I went through something traumatic that ended up causing me to grow a great deal. And I'm definitely making more money now! Could be a coincidence, but the job I have has a lot to do with the growing/transition period.
24th-Aug-2005 11:32 am (UTC)
*chuckles* For what it's worth, the job I hold now I have thanks to a very intellectual argument that I had on an online forum that I was afraid would get me banned from said forum. Instead, I had my interlocutor asking me if I'd like a job. ^^;
24th-Aug-2005 12:28 pm (UTC)
The job I had seems just the opposite sometimes. There are days when I can feel all intelligence, emotional or otherwise, just being sucked out of me.
24th-Aug-2005 12:33 pm (UTC)
Ah, well, I didn't say that my job wasn't mind-numbing in its own way--because it is. When I'm writing my articles, I have trouble focusing my mind coherently on anything else. It's as if my entire world condenses down into the margins of the page on the screen.
