"In the city of my birth, I had a dream..."
My wit is sharp, and my pile of manga is flush with new arrivals.

Well, I suppose these results are relatively accurate, despite the fact that I've never seen The Office:
the Wit

(52% dark, 30% spontaneous, 22% vulgar)

your humor style:

You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean you're pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that 'the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat. I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer. Your sense of humor takes the most effort to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion.

Also, you probably loved the Office. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check it out here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/theoffice/.

PEOPLE LIKE YOU: Jon Stewart - Woody Allen - Ricky Gervais

This quiz presumes that one has a sense of humor at all, however, and I'm not sure if that is necessarily true, in my case. I don't often crack jokes; the closest I ever get it seems is irony or its uncouth sister, sarcasm.

In other news, my preordered manga FINALLY came!!! A whole, honking FIFTEEN of them!!! Yeah, like a full month after they had been sitting complacently on the shelves in Borders, but nevermind. *sighs* So, I think I'll take a short break from Liquor by Poppy Z. Brite, which has been annoying me for a number of reasons that merit discussion at some point, and catch up on some of my favorite visual literature and pulp fiction. ^_^

You don't really strike me as the sort who'd enjoy The Office. I saw a few episide and a lot of the jokes seem to assume that you're already prone to laugh at anything that sounds or looks slightly odd.

Hmm. Well, that sounds pretty discouraging...not that I would have gone out to watch the show on the basis of the results of this quiz, anyway. :P The only British comedy I've ever seen was Mr. Bean, I didn't like it.

I do like the few episodes of The Simpsons that I've seen, if that counts. I appreciate parody.

Hey guess what I scored? Go ahead, guess...

Either the Provocateur or the Shock Jock, would be my guess. Am I right? ^__^

Yeah, I am Howard Stern. (>_>)

Shock jock, eh? I was leaning more toward Provocateur, actually, when I guessed. But I guess it's hard to convey slapstick humor online.

Well, if it's any consolation, comparing you to what little I've seen/heard of Howard Stern, you're much more funny. ^_~
