Opened my door this afternoon after a brief nap--I'm currently fighting off a cold--and caught the name plate painter working away at the plaque inside the doorway. I persuaded him to fix the typo above the door to my modest living space, so it's now correct!
I love the juxtaposition of the hand-painted plaque with the standard-operational fire safety paraphernalia.
Oh, by the way, apologies to anyone who's expecting to see lots of pictures of the famous Cambridge sights here. Of course it's beautiful, but there are a million and one places to go online if its grand architecture is your speed. I'm interested in the "backside" of things--those spaces integral to the lives of the students that the average tourist would never see.
